The history of Hotel Brennerspitz

The Hotel Brennerspitz is located in Milders in the Stubai Valley, a tourist region in Tyrol.

It all started when my mother Waltraud Holzknecht, daughter of the Milderer Hof, met my father Karl Holzknecht. Both worked in their parents’ business.

Pension Alpenflora in Neustift 1963

In 1963 they built the Alpenflora guesthouse. At the beginning it was a pure bed and breakfast with running water and toilet on the floor. A year later, shower stalls were installed in the rooms. In order to be able to offer the guests more comfort, half-board was cooked from then on.

The pension was expanded with the addition of a small restaurant. The dining room and kitchen have also been enlarged. A sauna, a whirlpool and a fitness room were built in the basement.

In 1990 the Alpenflora guesthouse was ragged. A conversion or a complete renovation would not be wise.

Construction of Hotel Brennerspitz in 1980

In 1980 the Hotel Brennerspitz was built next to the Pension Alpenflora. The rooms were equipped with shower / bath and toilet from the start.

The 4-star hotel was expanded with an indoor pool, whirlpool, steam bath, brine steam bath, infrared cabin and fitness room.

Claudia Zach has been running the Hotel Brennerspitz with her father since around 2005.
