Hiking in Stubaital

The Stubai Valley is a true paradise for hikers. An almost limitless network of hiking trails runs through the Stubai Valley and the Stubai Alps. StuBay swimming pool

Silver mine Schwaz

More than 500 years ago, more than 10,000 miners looked for the coveted pale ore in Schwaz. Today you can follow the traces of medieval silver and copper mining in the silver mine. As early as 1500 up to 85% of the silver traded worldwide was mined here.

The wealth of the Schwazer mountain farmers also led to the fact that the first guldiner was minted in the Hall Mint in 1486 – the thaler, a European currency for over 300 years and thus a pioneer of the euro, was born. In addition, there are healing powers in the mine, the allergen-free air in connection with high humidity brings relief from the symptoms of bronchial diseases and for asthmatics!

Münze Hall
